Temporary Phone Number Testing Flow

Suggested flow

  1. Create a test matrix: product surface, country, expected sender, timeout, fallback action.
  2. Use a fresh temporary number for each important scenario.
  3. Save the message body and timestamp in the QA ticket.
  4. Compare actual timeout behavior with product requirements.
  5. Mark numbers as single-test, reuse-safe, or blocked after the run.

What not to do

Do not use shared numbers for production user accounts, financial identity checks, or anything requiring long-term control of the number.
